Former workmate Barry Blumstein visited Sydney during the final days of operation of the single deck suburban electric trains in 1991 and 1992. This video shows those trains operating in the underground stations as well as under the Goulburn Street parking station, angles which nobody else thought of using. 16 minutes.

Barry and I also went to Cuba in 1990 purely to video the Hershey electric interurban line, originally built by the Hershey chocolate company but later nationalised by Castro. In 1990 it was still vital public transport and had good patronage.

This Part 1 of 6 shows operations around Casa Blanca which is just across the river from Havana.

If you enjoy the sights and sounds of electric traction I don't think you'll be disappointed. 20 minutes.
