PCM is a more modern vertion of PC5, as used in 750 and 751
It has 18 notches instead of 9 and thus more suitable for rapid acceleration. WH VA was similar and used under 741 and 741

The VA gear was removed because the W5s went even faster
than normal. AFAIK the VA gear has weak field

The Taits, Doggies and O cars used GE Type M,a gear a bit like RC2
as is electro magnetic

It was supplied with auto acceleration, Taits and Doggies, or
manual acceleration, O cars and E electric locos
