Roderick.

Melbourne Express: Monday, April 10, 2017.
10.31 There are reports of debris falling from a building near Spencer
Street. Eastbound traffic has been affected.
9.25 Parts of St Kilda Road are still underwater. According to one commuter,
trams are "sardine packed".
- 8.53 Adele T: The waterside view from my sardine packed no 64 tram on St
Kilda Road from my roomy but scary, bottom tram step section.
9.11 The Sandringham line is back on track after flooding on the tracks at
Prahran but there are still delays of up to 15 minutes.
Trams in the area are overrun with commuters after buses replaced trains
from Elsternwick to Flinders Street.
One poor commuter has watched six packed trams drive past them at a stop on
Inkerman Street in St Kilda.
~8.40 or 9.03 Any extra trams? Two full capacity trams gone by inkerman stop
and didn't stop. About 30 people at the stop waiting?
7.21 Metro is asking commuters in Prahran and Ripponlea to use trams and
buses instead of trains.
7.17 Buses will replace trains between Elsternwick and Caulfield (flooding
over the lines at Prahran).
The Burke and Wills statue on the corner of Swanston and Collins streets has
been taken down ahead of Metro Tunnel works at City Square.
Explorers Robert O'Hara Burke and William John Wills crossed Australia from
Melbourne to the Gulf of Carpentaria in 1860-61.
5.59 Many roads around the city are underwater, with reports of people
getting caught in floodwater in their cars this morning. Parts of St Kilda
Road...are underwater.

Thousands of homes are without power and roads around Melbourne are flooded
after a severe storm lashed the state on Sunday.
