'winmail.dat' is IMHO, a stupid thing that Microsoft Outlook some times
does - particularly if the sender is using 'rich formatting' and inserts
images into their email. It then packages up the text and pictures and
sends this as a file that only Microsoft Outlook can open at the other end.

Outlook users have replied to the email , and since they received it in
that Microsoft specific form, their outlook programs sent their reply
out in that Microsoft specific form.

There are 'plugins' for Thunderbird and gmail to decode them. But IMHO
outlook shouldn't be sending emails to the Internet in a private one
company only specific format.

Any one not using Microsoft Outlook has basically missed John's
submission and the subsequent replies.
