Re: IWLR stuff - ads, delays and special work

I don't have turnaround times on the Sydney trams (unfortunately).

The point I was making was that a turnaround on the trams required many
more physical constraints than the IWLR.

So the turnaround time on the IWLR should be better than the 'good old
days'.

Mind you from personal experience I can state that 'changeover times'
for Sydney Buses for staff relief purposes have significantly blow out
compared to the tram replacement buses of the 1960s.

More wonders of the advances that we have been 'gifted' by computer
enhanced ticketing systems that the new generation managers have
embraced as progress!

"I used to time the turnaround af Lilyfield Greg. The fastest time I
recorded for a tram to be reversed was 2 1/4 minutes (female driver of
course!). So how long did those crews on the old system take? Obviously
long enough to hold up three trams in that photographed example - but
more than 2 1/4 minutes? The IWLR timetable allows 3 minutes at Dulwich
Hill. Actually a significant change from previous timetables is that the
layovers are now at Central as they've obviously realised that Dulwich
Hill can't handle it. Not to mention drivers not getting practical
toilet time at Dulwich Hill.
