Mea culpa! I did indeed miss Mal's earlier post, but have now found it. I was confused by the legend 'Birthplace of Victoria',
thinking that Victoria was just over the border in British Columbia.

Tsk tsk Dudley, you must have missed Mal's earlier description of the
Portland operation as being one of a motorised "grip" hauling a genuine
restored trailer. When I last visited Portland, the end near the depot
was one of Tony P's reversing loops and the other was a wye where a backup
move was required.
