I took some pics this arvo of the special work being assembled at Lilyfield, from the Catherine St bridge. When I spotted it from a moving tram yesterday I thought I saw a three way junction, but as you can see I over-egged the custard a bit there - it’s a couple of right hand turnouts and crossing for the Hay St to George St curves.

Just in front of the stacked pallets of stuff in the foreground components of the 90 degree crossing for the intersection can be seen, along with piles of special work rail for this and other locations.
