Darling Drive was a complex problem a couple of years ago with the
access road to the old car park. Now that it has gone, is their any
other facility other than Drive and the LR line. This intersection
wouldn't be co-ordinated to any other in the area, so no problem with
an instant phase change.

It will be almost impossible to get full priority at George St
considering the volume of traffic on it, but maybe when they open
CSELR they can put a signal box there and cross trams both ways at 8
second intervals like they used to at George and King!
Darling Drive is a disgrace and both management and TfNSW should be
hot on the bureaucratic train about that. I'm sure it isn't too hard
to get full priority at Pitt and Castlereagh too. Maybe something for
ETS to pursue?

Token indeed. It doesn’t make up for the long wait at Darling Drive
while no traffic passes, and it really only matches the phases for the
road traffic that’s currently excluded.

A token contribution is that the Sussex St and George St lights are
coordinated. Although that is probably negated by the long wait to
actually get them in sync
