A token contribution is that the Sussex St and George St lights are
coordinated. Although that is probably negated by the long wait to
actually get them in sync

The biggest slowdown at the city end is the four (five if inbound)
sets of traffic signals without priority, where trams are invariably
stopped, with  George St (one traffic lane at present) and Darling
Drive (mostly worksite access) the most egregious offenders. A clear
run with signal priority would knock a couple of minutes at least off
covering Central to Haymarket.
But as we know, that’d set an unwelcome precedent for CSELR - as far
as RMS is concerned anyway.

Thanks Tony. It doesn't matter where on the line the delay was, the
Dulwich Hill arrangements don't assist recovery. They can spit them
out of Central quickly enough, though I'm sure having two stops now
slows it down a little.

Though I can’t say for sure, this delay seems to have been at the
city end. If there was anything posted on the website it had
disappeared down the Memory Hole before I was able to check.
