I saw a television news item today announcing that they will trial “Walk” and “ Don’t Walk” lights in the footpaths at intersections to suit those people who keep their eyes turned downward onto their I Pads, I Phones etc.

The next stage might be overhead “Walk” and “Don’t Walk” signs for pedestrians who walk along George Street admiring the beautiful clear sky views unspoiled by ugly tram overhead wires.
