Great stuff Andrew. By 1973 I was missing in action on the streets of
Melbourne until the shock of being told about Zs running in Chapel Street
when I hastily resumed tram photography. Fortunately I was visiting
Melbourne weekly from 1989 and had plenty of opportunity to check out the
end of the W era and also chase down Z1s on East Burwood and on the
Essendon routes. I guess when my shots of that period get old I should put
some up.
