On Sunday while riding a tram south in the Surfers Paradise region, Dave or Mal asked whether I had ever seen a surfboard on a tram to which I replied “No.”

However a couple of stops later a young lady got on with a board and leant it against a standard bulkhead.

So I thought ‘Why not?” and walked down and asked if she would mind putting it in the rack in the next tram module. She was agreeable and I helped her carry her surfboard to the rack and clamped it into place.

So there it is. It was just a pity that this pleasant blonde lady declined the offer to be photographed next to it. She stood against the opposite bulkhead. But then, we don’t want to get too many hearts racing on TDU!

Also on this trip we saw two gents with surfboards on the opposite platform.. Maybe the surf was Up on Sunday.
