Just read the complaints about the Citadis - also the ongoing lament regarding all the low floor caterpillars track and ride.

Apart from the cost of more drivers positions, what is the problem with multiple unit working as they used to do with O, P and H trams?

Or even single ended trams in permanent combination like the Sydney E class?

Just wondering.
