27 years between new trams for Melb was an all time record.
In between 1956 & 1973,new trams entered service in Brisbane until early 1964 & by April 1969,Australia's newest Classic Tram was residing in a Museum.It is still the case.

Any update on the Bumblebees? The lastI heard, Terry Mulder was negotiating the purchase of them, soon after the election, and well after his predecessor had announced they had been bought.

It would be a shame to lose such nice trams.
