I was a lot younger 41 years ago when the Kogarah trolley bus system
was closed down.

I was not able to attend the closure as "mother" had decided on a
bonding week's holiday in the Blue Mountains.

Accordingly, I make to make a farewell visit and take a few photos
shortly before the closure. I could not afford Kodachrome (10ASA?)
slide film at the time and thus was using
Anscochrome. Unfortunately, the years have not been kind to this
brand of slide film which has faded towards its green base
colour. However, with the marvels of the digital age and my
extremely limited enhancing knowledge, I have been able to recover
most of the original colour.

Attached is my one and only photo of the trolley bus "home" which was
known at Ritchie Street Depot. As can be seen, it was not a large
affair The photo, along with the few others I have to remind me of
the System, was taken on 21/08/1959.
