Graham:

It appears that the SF MUNI F LIne KC car was your model, unfortunately. The F Line KC car is ex-Philadelphia.

The KC PCCs were unusual (if not unique) because they used the standard "postwar" body shape but with without standee windows - the tops of the windows were even with the tops of the motorman's window and the doors on the other side. (Its said that the KCPS President(?) didn't like standee windows.) (Schneider and Carlson, "PCC From Coast to Coast", Interurbans Press, 1983) You wouldn't have to change the painting a lot to reflect the actual KC car design.

The cars were sold to Toronto when KC operations ended and ten of them later came to SF MUNI in the '70s to augment MUNI's PCC fleet during BART subway construction. They didn't last long on MUNI for a variety of reasons but they were handsome and pleasant to ride in.

IMHO, these were the best looking of the narrow PCCs and were noticeably brighter inside during daytime. PCCs with standee windows are a little claustrophobic, I think.
