I would like to thank those that let me put on TDU Clives Collecton of MMTB Destination Curtains information.
I realised we duplicated some from mine & his but I felt it was worth it
Doing heavy reseach on the P&M trams I always looked for destination signs of their trams & other Trust trams

Clive Malcolm Gibson was a big man - in many ways - in the tramways & later the railways history - destination rolls.
He put in his time making destination rolls in his spare time in the TMSV rooms.
He had a large passion for the Melbourne tram especially his favorite line - route 8 - as he lived in South Yarra.
We became good friends & got permission from the Foreman to put the odd rolls in different trams he liked without any fuss.
One time he arranged a charter in 380 before it was restored with just about every route covered with the right destination boxes on board with suitable photo stops to record the event
He arranged to have 331 his favorite w2 - when the time came - to have it stored at SMD. He also arranged to get 331 painted on the outside by the SMD Foreman & then have it preserved at Bylands where it ran for some years. To his dissapointment it ended up in the USofA. New Orleans ran it under their roster as a red 455 & again it was sold & restored under US regulations & now runs nearly every day - yet another colour of blue - in Memphis as 455 but we remember it as w2 331
