In early 1939 Dr Sewell visited Melbourne and was hosted by my former lecturer Mr Clarke.

Some time in 1939 Mr Clarke returned the visit, going to Sydney.

Whereas Dr Sewell was interested in Melbourne's cable trams, Mr Clark was similarly interested in the remaining Sydney steam tram - at Parramatta Wharf.

Dr Sewell cast his bicycle aside to pose for Mr Clarke next to Parramatta Ferries 5a with two trailers and an AEC double deck bus.
